During the 05.2 session, Dan W's hall (LQ 20, right next to the girl's bathroom) created a new religion, Sparkyism, that was eventually followed by all members of LQ 20 and the Cryptology A class. The main focal point of this religion was that the deity Sparky basically went around spreading joy and happiness to all who believed in him. Sparky had 3 main forms; a leaf (which was ripped up and thrown from the balcony of the dining hall in a blatant act of anti-Sparkyism), a golden happy Buddha statue (from which he was kicked out by Buddha), and finally, a red piece of origami, which still resides in my room to this day. There is also a song, to be sung to the tune of Yellow Submarine, the words of which have been lost to the sands of time. (Sebastian, Samson, or anyone else who remembers the song; email me the lyrics.) It is the hope of the followers of Sparky that someday this religion may be spread to other CTY sites so that the joy of Sparky can be brought to all.

2005.2 -- Sparky

- Ben Horkley (STM 05.2, LAN 06.2 and 07.2), High Priest of Sparky
