Accelerated Grade 2 Mathematics is a CTY Online course where the prerequisite is qualifying math standardized test scores supplied by the parent. Its course code is AG2 and its course length is about 6 months.

Course Description

From the CTY Online catalog:

The Accelerated Grade 2 Mathematics program covers concepts typically found in a second grade curriculum and is aligned with the Common Core Standards. This course begins with a review of grade 1 topics and prepares students for grade 3. Students are actively engaged with online lessons and practice activities. Students solve real-word problems so they can practice applying the concepts they learned during the course. The course sharpens investigative skills, broadens mathematical understanding, and enhances proficiency in reasoning as they explore Grade 2 Mathematics. Understanding of the material is assessed through challenging homework activities, quizzes, module tests, and cumulative exams. Online interactives in this course are provided by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.
