Half-life is a game played during the Acting Improv activity.

Participants

  • Four players

How does it work?

After participants are chosen, the four players decide, with some help from the audience, on a scene to act out. The players then have one minute to act out the scene in any way they choose, preferably with heavy accent on comedy. After acting out the scene in one minute, the players then act out the same scene in the same manner, only that they now have 30 seconds to do everything they did before. The game continues in this manner, with the same scene being acted out a total of 6 times; first in 1 minute, then 30 seconds, 15 seconds, 7 seconds, 3 seconds, and 1 second. As this game is fairly quick, it is generally played more than once in an Acting Improv activity period.
