Monty Python is an amazing British acting troupe. The most famous movie by them is Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail. Although I personally am unsure of the reason for its wide popularity among CTYers, it is an excellent movie that has its script available online on <a href="http://www.intriguing.com/mp/">Monty Python's Completely Useless Web Site</a>, making it much easier to quote the films verbatim. It's a wonderfully random movie that has numerous memorable scenes such as the black knight, "bring out your dead", the knights of ni [sp?], the witch trial, Castle Anthrax, etc. Monty Python madness has gone so far as to forming an entire CTY tradition- on the last Thursday during lunch, CTYers walk about the dining hall in Lancaster with their trays and perform the chant-and-hitting-thyself-with-board/tray routine which was seen in the movie performed by the monks. (The chant goes " Pie Iesu domine,[clonk] dona eis requiem [clonk]", where the [clonk]s are when you hit thyself with a board/dining tray.)The movie is also quoted quite often in the activity Acting Improv, or AI. -Starr Chen
