Located 12 miles north of San Francisco in Marin County, Dominican University of California was founded (originally as Dominican College) in 1890. The 80-acre, park-like campus is located in an historic neighborhood at the center of an area of incredible natural beauty. The campus was designed to encourage the values of study, reflection, community, and service in the lives of the students living there. With its manicured gardens and sun-drenched benches, Dominican offers an ideal location for intellectual and personal growth. The temperate climate provides a comfortable living and learning environment, and most facilities do not need to be air conditioned.
