hi im kat and this is my 3rd year at cty

when writing this i kept stumbling the right words to write down because its hard to portray how this place has changed me

so i wrote a poem

i've changed from 13

where i wished for invisibility

my squirrel year dream to be unseen

i thought i was a liability

i somehow grew from that shell

i sang my own song for the first time as well

i drowned in my sadness i could not bear

but in you guys i trusted would care

i remember the little things all right

the beautiful fluorescent swinging lights

chalk on the ground

and how ive always lived on rounds

i grew to fourteen

where i grew into insecurity

which believe me is still here

just has less visibility

i fell in love with this place again

ran into some toxic ends

but i forgive you for what you said

after all we are just trying our best old friend

fifteen is now here

and i wish that the time wasnt near

that i dont know how to manage

im not perfect, ive made mistakes
