Chestertown is a Baby CTY site with its campus being Washington College. It has a very wide variety of courses to offer. It's code is CHS.This site is a residential site, so your children will stay at the college for 3 weeks. If you do not want to do residential, please select from the day sites.

Site Description

Washington College was allowed to use George Washington's name by Washington himself, but it was formerly known as College at Chester. It was founded by William Smith. The college was officially founded in 1782, just six years after the Declaration of Independence was signed.

In regards to traditions, the Chestertown site has a small "introductory" canon: Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond and American Pie (with callbacks limited to "die! die! die! die! live! live! live! live!").

Dorms

In Washington College, they have Four Zones of dorms. I think they may only use Zone One becuase the houses only fit a certain amount of people and are reserved for other things. All of these dorms are equipped with A/C and heat. As a 2-year at Chestertown, can confirm this is true. Queen Anne and Caroline were used 14.2, and Reid and Caroline were used 15.2.

Caroline House

3-floors, often used as the male dorm.

Queen Anne's Hall

Switches with Reid on the second male dorm.

Reid Hall

Switches with Queen Anne as the secondary male dorm.

Minta Martin

Female dorm, and administrative offices are located in the basement.
