An [[Acting Improv]] which begins with someone repeatedly doing a short, useless, random, and hopefully odd action. People continue to add on to the machine with equally random actions until someone finally figures out what the machine does and completes it (e.g pouring milk, closing a book, etc). This can happen very quickly, under a minute, but can also drag on, much to the discomfort (and sometimes pain) of the machine compentents. Actions are usually mimed, though sound effects are welcome. Props are rare (other than large and disproportioned stuffed chickens and hedgepusses).
