I met him over the summer! I went to a concert of his then afterwards he was signing CDs and I went up to him to get my copy of American Pie signed and I said to him "I just wanted to tell you that at the camp I go to your song American Pie is played at the end of every dance, and everyone loves it, we all get into it and we have these traditions. It means a lot to me and I wanted to thank you for that." and Mr. Mclean smiles and says "you're a sweet young man" then he stretched his hand out and I shook the Donmisters hand it was freakin' amazing
