The I Theory

The I Theory is a religion (ish) created by the Logic A class of LAN.11.2 (mainly Brian Jeffers and Jaya Mohan).

The general philosophy of the I Theory is the belief in your "essential I-ness" shortened to your "I". This is like Agnosticism in that there isn't a belief in a specific god, God, or gods, and different in that there doesn't have to be a belief in a higher power. The ideas of the I Theory are somewhat simple. Ish.

  • We all have an essential I.
  • This may or may not be our soul; this is open to debate.
  • The I is what drives our personalities (hence the soul argument) and basically is what makes each person unique.
  • During sleep, the I partly leaves the body. Some argue that it goes to a different plane of reality, or a dream world of sorts. Either way, the I mostly leaves the body and thinks for itself, causing what little is in the body to find some of those thoughts and interpret them in a disoriented manner, hence dreams. When a person is waking up, the reason they are usually disoriented is because at that time, the I is still making its way back into the body.
  • As you die, your I is making its way from your body and into another. This is why people see their life "flashing before their eyes" as their memories leave them, and a "bright white light" as the first light seen at a new birth.
  • Your I is infititely reincarnated.
