| + | "Harassment campaign" um... allies and GSMs fighting for a safe space (which is no longer present at GLOW) is not only acceptable, the way we did things was not damaging in the slightest. I wasn't in the group that apparently started complaining about the changes and getting upset at the adults, but not only is it 100% fine for a marginalized group to plead equality, any "harassment" ended right after it started. A safe space is, according to Advocates for Youth, "a place where anyone can relax and be fully self-expressed, without fear of being made to feel uncomfortable, unwelcome, or unsafe on account of biological [or designated] sex, race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, cultural background, age, or physical or mental ability; a place where the rules guard each person's self-respect and dignity and strongly encourage everyone to respect others." GLOW was UNSAFE and CTYers who understand that expect to create a safe space again, no matter what. | ||
